Eagle Scout
When I first joined Boy Scouts, I wasn’t a willing participant. My mom had put me in and I was afraid I wouldn’t fit in. After all, I was soon to be 16 years old, joining a program where many people start right after elementary school. On top of that, many of the people I had talked to about it told me things like: “You’re starting now? There’s no chance you’re going to get Eagle!” However, now as I approach the end of my Scouting journey, I have nothing but gratefulness for everything I have experienced and learned. While making friends and going on fun camping trips were certainly highlights, the leadership, character, and principles I learned will stick with me for the rest of my life.
